I’ve shared plenty of skin tips and products in the past but without doubt one of my true skin addictions are the ZO Skin Health products. I have been using this line for the past two years and truly cannot live without it.
There are many different skin types, and most of us have combination skin rather than just one straight forward. I happen to be sensitive/combination and prior normal/combination. It is also important to know that our skin types can change as we advance in age.
Before we get too deep into this topic, I want to disclose I am not a physician, I am an aesthetician by training. Therefore, I am well studied and can share my expert opinion from experience both in practice and working directly with physicians, but I cannot diagnose or present a medical opinion.
In my experience, ZO products work differently from other lines in that it works at a cellular level. Most skin care products work at the superficial level and don’t address ingredient penetration as effectively as ZO products. If your skincare is not working at a cellular level, you are really not advancing with prevention and preservation of skin health.
In this blog I am going to share with you my personal routine and a few ZO products I really am digging:
Cleanser
ZO Gentle Cleanser: This cleanser has worked wonders on my skin. It gently removes makeup, impurities, and excess oil without leaving my skin dry or sensitive. Not only does it clean the skin but helps prevent pores from clogging or becoming congested.
This cleanser makes your skin feel fresh and clean without stripping it or changing the PH balance. It really is a favorite; it provides exactly what my skin needs at the end of the day, so good!
Exfoliate
ZO Skin Health Offects Exfoliating Polish: I love to exfoliate once or twice per week following a nightly cleanse. This product contains micro-fine magnesium crystals to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. When you exfoliate, you increase the cellular turnover, leaving skin smoother and healthier, while also creating a more even complexion.
Exfoliation also improves product penetration of other products, which will increase efficacy and better results from your power serums.
Some of the active ingredients in this exfoliant include vitamin A, C, and E to deliver antioxidant protection. Did I mention it smells heavenly? That is just another good reason to invest in this best seller exfoliating polish!
Treatments
ZO Skin Health Daily Power Defense (DPD): I use this lightweight lotion daily after my morning shower. This all-in-one is pure magic. It fights free-radical damage by introducing the skin to several powerful antioxidants, helps to firm and tighten my skin by penetrating to the DEJ. It also protects the skin’s natural barrier to repair damage and future damage. This is one of ZO’s best sellers, which is surprising. This is a must-have for my skin and is suitable for all skin types.
ZO Skin Health Ossential Growth Factor Serum: This is another one of my must-have ZO products. I used to be addicted to TNS essential serum until I tried this product. Hands down, ZO is better in almost every way. This gel serum delivers strength to weak skin, reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles, promotes brighter skin, provides ultimate hydration, and reinforces the skin’s natural protective barrier to combat future damage.
I apply this golden product after my nightly cleanse and use it on my face, neck and chest. It works on all skin types and even the most sensitive skin types.
SPF Protection
ZO Oclipse SPF Primer: Most of us have a love-hate relationship with the sun. We need it to feel good and enjoy life, but we also need to understand its dangers toward skin and photoaging.
This SPF protects against UVA, UVB, and HEV (high-energy visible light), which is the blue light we are all exposed to while using electronic devices. Research shows that HEV light can penetrate deeper than UVA and UVB rays. Frightening, right? The good news is we can protect our skin even while using our devices.
I make this part of my daily routine regardless of the temperature outside or daily weather conditions. It is a must! Everyday!
Eye Repair
ZO Intense Eye Repair: Please don’t forget the eyes, I cannot stress enough how important it is to give attention to the ocular area even at a young age. ZO Intense Eye is a targeted cream that protects and restores helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines, has light diffusing ingredients, protects against free radical damage, and fully absorbs into the delicate skin around the eye.
I am diligent about applying this product morning and night after cleansing and as my final step. If you choose to apply eye cream just once a day, then I suggest applying at night when you are allowing your skin to rest and repair.
I have noticed my fine lines look so much smoother since using this product. Thank you very much, ZO!
